PSEG Power Connecticut selects SNC-Lavalin for $22 Million contract
SNC-Lavalin announced that it has been selected by PSEG Power Connecticut LLC for $22 million project, to replace an existing coal facility with 485-MW combined-cycle gas plant from its Bridgeport Harbor Unit 5 project in the state of Connecticut.
SNC-Lavalin’s scope includes engineering and procurement support. SNC-Lavalin is also providing some key personnel to augment PSEG’s on-site construction management team. This contract comes as an addition to the company’s EPC work on another PSEG project: the 755-megawatt combined-cycle natural gas-fired Keys Energy Center project located in Maryland.
President, Sandy Taylor said that SNC-Lavalin is pleased at the confidence that PSEG has placed in us. It’s a testament to the relationship they have built with their customer and their recent performance on the Keys project that they have awarded this contract to them.
