Vestas receives order for 76 MW of V112-3.45 MW turbines in Northern Germany
Vestas has announced that it has received an order for 22 V112-3.45 turbines totalling 76MW from Looft-Schmidt Projekte Erneuerbarer Energien GmbH, in Northern Germany.
The turbines will be installed at the Norderwohrden wind park in Schleswig-Holstein, Northern Germany and will replace 40 different types of turbines installed over the last 30+ years. Wind turbine delivery and commissioning is planned to begin in the third quarter of 2017.
Vestas president of central Europe region, Nils de Baar said that they are happy that Looft-Schmidt Projekte Erneuerbarer Energien has again chosen Vestas and opted for their V112-3.45 MW for this repowering project. With five different rotor sizes, taller towers, and different power modes, maximising annual energy production and optimising levelised cost of energy, the platform repeatedly proves its versatility across a variety of German wind regimes to the benefit of their customers.
