Tekmar Energy (Tekmar), the market leading specialists in cable protection systems (CPS) for Offshore Windfarms has been awarded a contract by VBMS to supply its 7th generation of TekLink CPS, bellmouths, cover disks and hang-offs on Blyth Offshore Windfarm, the world’s first 66kV Offshore Windfarm. Nexans will supply the cable which will be installed along with the CPS by VBMS in the summer of 2017.
The CPS, bellmouths, cover disks and hang-offs will be manufactured in Tekmar’s state of the art production facility in the North East of England, closely located to the actual windfarm site in Blyth.
Tekmar who are known as the market leader for cable protection systems having supplied over 5,800 systems across 52 projects, are now also becoming increasingly known for their innovative hang-off design which offers better protection of the cables and also helps improve the install process.
