Pattern Energy completes C$1 billion financing for 300 MW Henvey Inlet Wind Project
Henvey Inlet Wind project located on Henvey Inlet First Nation Reserve No. 2 on the northeast shore of the Georgian Bay in Ontario has been financed by the Pattern Energy Group that announced its completion today. Pattern Development and Nigig Power Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Henvey Inlet First Nation, are joint venture partners in the deal.

Henvey Inlet Wind will use 87 Vestas3.45 MW Turbines having a 136- Meter rotor diameter and 132- meter sub height. The project successfully complies with the agreement terms of the Independent Electricity Sysytem Operator ensuring production to its peak and ideal. 500 job opportunities will be provided during construction. Once the project commences operations, it eyes employment of approximately 15 permanent full- time workers ans 100 indirect jobs thus proving opportunites galore. Henvey Inlet wind is set to begin operations in 2019 thus generating environment- friendly power for approximately 100,000 Ontario homes each year. Pattern Development owns a 50% interest in the project, and Nigig Power Corporation owns the other 50% of the project.The Henvey Inlet Wind project has been additionally included to its list of identified Right of First Offer (iROFO) projects.
