Mammoet Installed the last turbine of Ararat wind farm

The contract of installation of 75 turbines in the Ararat Wind farm has been completed by the Contractor Mammoet. The cable trenching and installation is also completed by RJE Global. To transport the generated electricity to the substation and to commission the remaining turbines just the connection of cables to the turbines is required.

Ararat Wind Farm’s General Manager, Stuart Liddell is confident that GEDowner will complete the remaining tasks on or ahead of schedule to achieve project completion by May 4th, 2017.

Of 75, 61 turbines are already commissioned and contributing to supply of renewable energy. Once completed, the Ararat Wind Farm will be a world class project that plays a key part in Australia’s renewable energy future.
