Jamie & Melvin appointed New VP’s of PG&E Business Finance, Gas Operations
Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E) promoted Jamie L. Martin to vice president, Business Finance, and Melvin J. Christopher to vice president, Gas Transmission and Distribution Operations. It will be effective from May 1, 2017.
Martin will have responsibility for overseeing the company’s integrated planning, financial planning and budgeting processes. She will report to Jason Wells, Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer. Christopher will oversee all operations and maintenance on the company’s natural gas transmission and distribution network, and will report to Jesus Soto, Senior VP Gas Operations.
Martin is senior director, Business Finance. She joined PG&E in 2007 and since then held various roles in Financial Analysis and Reporting, Investor Relations, Business Finance, and Project Finance. Prior to PG&E, Martin worked at the accounting firm Grant Thornton LLP. She has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of San Francisco and serves on their Alumni Board of Directors.
Christopher is senior director, Gas Transmission and Distribution Operations. He joined PG&E in 2011, previously he held senior leadership roles in engineering and operations and other areas at Vista Energy Solutions, PNM Resources and Public Service Company of New Mexico. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from New Mexico State University.
