Ingeteam supplies its photovoltaic power stations for a 100 MW solar plant in Australia
Ingeteam has supplied 23 of its 4.8 MW power stations for the Clare Solar Farm project, located in the Australian state of Queensland. This 100 MWAC (125 MWDC) project, conducted by Fotowatio Renewable Ventures (FRV), is being constructed by the Australian EPC, Downer EDI.
The energy generated by this solar plant, which is still at the construction stage, is to be injected into the distribution network operated by the Origin Energy electricity company.
The Ingeteam 1,500 Vdc technology was selected for this project, involving the supply of the company’s INGECON® SUN PowerMax central inverters, capable of producing a power output of up to 1,800 kW with a single 1,500 Vdc inverter, although the inverter model chosen for this project provides 1,600 kW. The solution, in the form of a power station, comprises three of these inverters housed in a 40 foot container, in addition to a power transformer, low voltage switchgear, medium voltage switchgear and auxiliary services panel. This is all supplied on a turnkey basis in order to ensure immediate, simple installation and field commissioning.
