EPL starts construction of 400Mw LNG fired plant in Ghana
Early Power Limited (EPL) consortium, made up of Endeavor Energy, Sage and General Electric, announced that The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has performed the commencement of construction of the 400-MegaWatt world’s largest LPG fired power plant, Bridge Power project.
The Bridge Power plant is a greenfield power and LPG import, storage, and transportation infrastructure project that will be located in Tema. The project will be capable of being fueled by LPG, natural gas, and diesel.
President Akufo-Addo said that he intend to grow this economy industrially, and that can be achieved when they have adequate, cost effective and sustainable power supply. The programmes this government has lined up to undertake, such as the ‘One District, One Factory’, and the ‘One Village One Dam’ projects, will all require significant amounts of electricity. The power produced in this country must be cost effective, efficient and sustainable.
