Power management company Eaton mentioned that the Company intends to disseminate knowledge on the surging smart home device market to innumerable contractors enabling them to utilize the technology. Industry research shows that the global market for these devices – not including major appliances – is expected to be $9.4 billion by 2021. With multiple, practical connected home and lighting solutions on the market, the company will therefore aid builders in catering to the dynamic market.
Brad Paine, vice president and general manager, Residential Solutions, Eaton’s Lighting Division said “Our market research found that as many as two-thirds of smart home purchases are made with security in mind – homeowners looking for the peace of mind that comes with controlling lights and many other smart home products anywhere, anytime, from their smart phones.”
