Call for papers: Powering up a continent at POWER‐GEN & DistribuTECH Africa 2018
PennWell, the organisers of the Africa’s premier power sector conference and exhibition, have issued a
call for papers for POWER‐GEN and DistribuTECH Africa 2018.
POWER‐GEN and DistribuTECH Africa 2018, themed ‘Powering up a continent’, will bring together up to
3,000 key industry stakeholders from across Africa and abroad for three days of high‐level debate and
analysis in July 2018.
In over 30 conference sessions across several focused tracks, POWER‐GEN and DistribuTECH Africa
present new research, trends analysis, case studies, innovations and solutions for the power generation
and distribution sectors.
Experts in their field and leading industry players are invited to submit abstracts for consideration, to be
presented at POWER‐GEN and DistribuTECH Africa 2018. Topics to be covered at the next POWER‐GEN
and DistribuTECH Africa conference include trends in electricity demand, pricing and subsidies, policies
and planning, legal and regulatory frameworks, microgrids and renewable energy strategies, digitization,
project planning and finance, power plant development, decentralized energy solutions, integration of
renewables, plant technologies, emissions control, operations and maintenance, nuclear power
technology and strategy, infrastructure management, revenue realization, new revenue streams,
metering, and system automation and operation.
Abstracts should be submitted before 8 January 2018, after which they will be considered by the POWERGEN
