Bill Moore joins EPRI as technical Executive in Steam turbines and generator programs
Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) announced that Bill Moore has joined as a technical executive in its steam turbines, generators and auxiliaries program. He will be based in EPRI’s Charlotte, N.C., office.
Moore has published more than 70 papers on generators, and is a fellow member and past chair of the ASME Power Division. He is also a senior member of IEEE and is the U.S. representative to CIGRE (Council on Large Electric Systems) on the A1 Study Committee.
Prior joining EPRI, Moore was director of technical services for National Electric Coil and prior to that he worked at three different Florida Power & Light plants as a technical manager, business manager and senior engineer. He started his career as a design engineer for Westinghouse. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, as well as a master’s degree in engineering/industrial management from the Florida Institute of Technology.
