aleo solar presents new glass-glass modules at Intersolar

At Intersolar Europe 2016, aleo solar will be exhibiting newly developed solutions for photovoltaic building integration, a new guarantee package and a high-performance module with 310 watts and 5-busbar cells. The glass-glass modules that can be installed with architecturally appealing effect into glass roofs, windows or facades will be presented for the first time. With a black or transparent appearance, the Elegante monocrystalline glass-glass module becomes an integral part of buildings. And the Solido is an extremely robust module that can withstand the harshest conditions.

At the Intersolar Europe trade fair in Munich (22 to 24 June), aleo solar will be presenting the Elegante in square format and in elongated carport format. The safety glass on the front and back has a thickness of four millimeters; the total thickness of the solar module is less than a centimeter. National technical approval (abZ) from the Deutsches Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt) is expected shortly for this module.
Another new development is the glass-glass module Solido. This was conceived for installations in extreme environments: In coastal areas with salty air, the desert climate, or in high humidity, the solar module is particularly robust. In installations in South Africa, the transparent module has proved to be ideal for greenhouses. aleo solar offers Solido with 60 monocrystalline cells and an output of 270-285 watts.

The use of the Elegante solar module in a carport will be demonstrated by aleo solar at Intersolar as a quality assured complete package: The installation system is supplied by Arausol and a storage solution from the Daimler subsidiary German Accumotive is available as an option, as is an SMA inverter for off-grid operation. All components stand for fully developed, proven technology made in Germany. Also designed for domestic self-consumption of solar power is the aleo laminate with integrated micro-inverter and mounting system. The 300-watt plug-in package in black or silver is ideal for small installations, such as on balconies.

Just in time for Intersolar, aleo solar has set new standards in respect of guarantees: For all aleo high efficiency modules with an output of more than 290 watts, the German manufacturer offers an optional extension of product warranty to 25 years. “With this long-term guarantee, we are leading the field in glass-polymer modules. We are able to do this, because we know our modules inside and out, thanks, in part, to strict testing, and we have every confidence in them,” says William Chen, CEO of aleo solar GmbH. “At the same time, we guarantee 98 percent of nominal power in the first two years for our high efficiency modules and we are the only manufacturer to offer this.” Even for standard modules with less than 290 watts, the product warranty is now being extended: from the beginning of June it will be increased from 10 to 12 years. aleo solar GmbH grants a product guarantee of 15 years and a 30 year performance guarantee for its glass-glass modules.

With its monocrystalline high-standard modules, aleo solar has set a new record: The S19 with 310 watts, 5-busbar cells and LHS-cell connectors achieves an efficiency of 18.9 percent. The black version, S79, can be ordered with up to 305 watts.
