Rusal appoints Vladislav Soloviev to the operational management of the company
The management structure has been changed as part of a programme to strengthen the team of top managers and further enhance the management system of RUSAL as a public company , aiming to focus on surging business efficiency and improving production and financial performance as well as increasing labour productivity and product quality.
Oleg Deripaska, the Chief Executive Officer of RUSAL, commented on the change in the organisational structure and the new appointment:
“Vladislav Soloviev knows RUSAL in great detail and has impressive experience managing large-scale holding companies, which will allow him to ensure the effective management of the company’s operations, and allow me to concentrate on the strategic development of RUSAL as a global leader in the industry’.
Vladislav Soloviev said: “I’m very pleased to return to the company where I worked for over seven years. RUSAL has not only changed its status recently, becoming a public company, but it has also reached a new stage of development which requires a change in management approach to ensure a long-term growth of the company’s value. A recession is followed by an upturn, and I see my task as not only making RUSAL the first company in the aluminium industry to successfully overcome the consequences of the world crisis, and also to become even more robust and competitive through this recovery. We have all the prerequisites to do that.”
